ABSTRACT Objective: To explore the factors affecting relapse fear in adult acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) patients, and to analyze the correlation between relapse fear and social support. Methods: 80 adult ALL patients who were treated in our hospital from May 2017 to May 2021 were selected, the disease Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Short Form (FoP-Q-SF) and social support rating scale (SSRS) were used for their questionnaire survey. Multivariate Logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of relapse fear in adult ALL patients, and Pearson correlation was used to analyze the relationship between relapse fear and social support in adult ALL patients. Results: The FoP-Q-SF scores of 80 adult ALL patients ranged from 31 to 50, with an average of (39.02±7.91) scores. Among them, 49 patients with FoP-Q-SF score ≥34 scores (high relapse fear group), accounting for 61.25%, and 31 patients with FoP-Q-SF score < 34 (low relapse fear group). Univariate analysis showed that there were significant differences in age, gender, personal monthly income, medical insurance and social support between high relapse fear group and low relapse fear group(P<0.05). Further multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that age 18~45 years old, female, personal monthly income ≤3000 yuan and less social support were the risk factors of relapse fear in adult ALL patients(P<0.05). The scores and total scores of SSRS in each dimension (subjective support, objective support and utilization of support) in the high relapse fear group were lower than those in the low relapse fear group(P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a significant negative correlation between FoP-Q-SF score and SSRS score in adult ALL patients(P<0.05). Conclusion: Adult ALL patients generally have relapse fear. Age, gender, economic income level and social support are their influencing factors. The level of social support is negatively correlated with the degree of relapse fear. |
