Objective:To investigate the relationship between hyperlipidemia and colorectal polyps, and to analyze the risk factors
associated with the occurrence of colorectal polyps. Methods:Thelevels of TG, TC and LDL-C of 160 patients with colorectal polyps and
153 controls were detected. The serum lipids between colorectal polyps group and control group, of colorectal polyps with different
pathological type, of adenomatous polyps with different location, of colorectal polyps of different gender, and different size of polyps
were compared. Results:The incidence of hyperlipidemia in colorectal polyps group was higher than that in the control group, The incidence
of hyperlipidemia in male colorectal polyps group was higher than that in female, and the differences were both statistically significant(
P<0.05). There were no significant differences in serum TC, TG and LDL-C between different pathological types of polyp group (P
>0.05). The hyperlipidemia incidence of the left colon and rectum polyp group was higher than that of the right colon group. The incidence
of colon polyps of overweight person (BMI ≥ 24 kg/m2) was higher than the normal high of BMI, and the incidence rate of greater
than 1cm was significantly higher than that of less than 1 cm(P<0.05).Conclusion: Hyperlipidemia, obesity and male are high risk factors
of colorectal polyps, and that the size and the location of polyps are closely related with the incidence of hyperlipidemia. |
