Gastrointestinal motility dysfunction was an important clinical manifestation of many gastrointestinal diseases and
other diseases, and the incidence rate of gastrointestinal dysfunction in gastrointestinal diseases was above 70 %. Gap junction protein 43
(connexin 43, Cx43) was the most important gap junction protein in cell gap junction communication, which played a key role in the formation
and regulation of gastrointestinal motility. The treatment effect of Traditional Chinese and Western medicine on gastrointestinal
diseases was significant, but the molecular mechanismwas not yet clear. The progress of Cx43 in the regulation of gastrointestinal motility
disorders from the gap junction communication in Cx43 is reviewed in this article, which lays foundation for further research on the
mechanismof the regulation of gastrointestinal motility disorders in Traditional and Modern medicine. |
