Objective:To investigate the changes of blood lipid levels and inflammatory markers of patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension by atorvastatin intervention.Methods:130 patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension who were treated in our hospital from May 2014 to May 2015 were selected and according to the different treatment methods, the patients were divided into the study group and the control group with 65 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were treated with the routine anti-hypertensive and hypoglycemic methods, while the patients in the study group were treated with atorvastatin besides the conventional methods. Then the changes of blood lipid, C-reactive protein, IL-6 and IL-18 of patients in the two groups were observed and compared before and after the treatment. Results:After treatment, the levels of TC and LDL-C in the two groups were lower than before, and the study group was lower than that of the control group with statistically significant differences (P<0.05); There was no statistically significant difference about the TG and the HDL-C in the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the levels of hs-CRP, IL-6 and IL-18 in the two groups were lower than before, and the study group was lower than that of the control group with statistically significant differences (P<0.05); There was no statistically significant difference about the adverse reactions in the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion:Atorvastatin can effectively improve the blood lipid, reduce the expressions of inflammatory factors for the patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension, which is worthy of clinical application.
