Atherosclerosis (AS) is closely related to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. It is accepted that chronic inflammatory reaction exists in each process which includes the early phase of endothelial dysfunction and the late phase of plaque rupture.
NF-资B, as an important transcription factor in Inflammatory signals regulation, participates in the pathological process of AS by influencing cytokines, chemokines, adherence factors, immune receptors and Oxidative stress related enzymes expression. It also plays important roles in cell apoptosis and proliferation. Therefore, NF-资B is a significant target for prevention and treatment of AS. In this study, we
give an overview of the mechanism of NF-资B signaling pathway in AS formation and the research progress of this pathway in order to
explore difficulties faced in AS reasearch about NF-资B signaling pathway, and then to provide theoretical basis for development of new
antiatherosclerotic drugs. |
