That cardiac progenitor cells migrate to the cardiogenic region of the embryo and then differentiate into cardiomyocytes
is crucial for cardiac development. Study of cardiomyocyte differentiation is important to understand cardiac development and to apply
stem cells in coronary artery heart disease. Recent researches demonstrated apelin/APJ signaling participated in progenitors migration
and cardiomyocyte differentiation. Here reviews the apelin/APJ signaling in embryonic cardiomyocyte differentiation. |
