Objective: To investigate the depressant effections in the growth of prostate adenocarcinoma cells with clostridium
perfringens enterotoxin (CPE) in vitro. Methods: The various expressions in the two prostate adenocarcinoma cell strains of PC-3 and
22RV1 were detected by cellular immunofluorescence. The depressant effections in the growth of cell strains of PC-3 and 22RV1 were
assayed by using CPE in vitro with methods of Growth curve and MTT assay. Then the results were analyzed. Results: There were highly
specific expressions of the claudin-3 in the cell strain 22RV1 and lowly in PC-3 by immunofluorescence with monoclonal antibody of
claudin-3. It was observed that the obviously depressant effections in the growth of the cell strain 22RV1 with CPE in vitro, and not in
PC-3. Conclusions: CPE can inhibit the growth of prostate adenocarcinoma cells which are highly specific expressions of the claudin-3 in
vitro. |
