| Colorectal cancer（CRC） is the most common malignant tumor of the digestive system in the world, which has a very bad impact on medical and health care.CRC belongs to the categories of "Intestinal mass", "Visceral poisons" and "locked anal hemorrhoids" in traditional Chinese medicine.Furthermore, the traditional Chinese medicine has its own unique advantages in the treatment of CRC and has accumulated a lot of practical experience.As one of the representatives of Chinese herbal medicine for the treatment of cancer, the Hedyotis diffusa Willd.（HDW） is mainly "Quxie" and "Fuzheng" in anticancer.Through its various active ingredients, the HDW plays a role in inhibiting tumor cell proliferation, inducing tumor cell apoptosis, inhibiting tumor cell metastasis, inhibiting tumor angiogenesis, regulating body immune function, regulating oxidative stress, inhibiting inflammation, and reversing drug resistance.This study systematically summarized the pharmacological activity and mechanism of action of the HDW in the treatment of CRC, and provided a reference for in-depth research on the treatment of CRC with traditional Chinese medicine. |
