Objective:To investigate the expression of N-teminalpro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP)in chronic congestive
heart failure (CHF) and its relationship with New York Heart Association (classification) (NYHA) grade and left ventricular ejection
fraction (LVEF).Methods:A total of 100 patients with CHF, who were admitted to Xi'an No.5 Hospital, were chosen as observation
group, and at the same period, 100 healthy persons, who were given health examinations in Xi'an No.5 Hospital, as control group. The
NT-proBNP and LVEF of two groups were detected, and the NT-proBNP, NYHA grade and LVEF in the observation group were
correlatively analyzed. Results:The NT-proBNP level of observation group was markedly higher than that of control group, and the
LVEF level was lower than control group, both differences were statistically significant (t=9.82, 7.63; P<0.01).The level of Plasma
NT-proBNP of observation group significantly increased with increasing NYHA grade, but the level of LVEF significantly decreased with
increasing NYHA grade (P<0.01). The level of NT-proBNP of observation group was positively correlated with NYHA classification
(r=0.812,P<0.01), but negatively correlated with LVEF level(r=-0.623,P<0.01).Conclusion:Plasma NT-proBNP level can early reflect
out the change of heart function caused by local heart structure change, and it combined with NYHA and LVEF can be used as the clinical
test indexes in the diagnosis of CHF. |
