Colloidal gold-based immunochromatographic assay is a common used lateral flow immunoassay, which offers the
advantage of simplicity, rapidity, relatively low manufacturing costs and easy evaluation, and it is ideally suited for on site testing, and
widely used in biology, medicine, food and other fields. But there are some disadvantages, such as, low sensitivity, being difficult to
quality control hard to quantitative detection and so on. The shortcomings limit its application in a certain extent. This paper describes the
principle, characteristics and domestic and foreign progress of the method, and emphasizes on its lacks and the possibilities for
improvement, so as to help to broaden its array of new application areas. |
