| Objective: To study the relationship between the lipoprotein lipase gene Pvuò polymorphism and type 2 diabetes meill-i
tus. Methods: PCR- RFLP method was used to determine the Pvuò polymorphism of intron 6 in LPL gene in 156 samples[ compatriot group( n
= 80) : case group( n= 40) and control group( n= 40) ; randomly selected group( n= 76) : case group( n= 58) and control group( n= 18) ] .
Results: Therewere no significant differences in the genotype and gene frequency between cases and controls. Conclusion: The Pvuò polymorphism
of LPL gene is not associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Hubei Han people. |
