| Erythropoietin, the principal regulator of erythroids progenitor cells, is widely used to treat anemia caused by many diseases.
In recent researches, EPO has been proved to have many different non- hematopoietic biological effects, in which the anti- inflammatory effect of
EPO has drawn much attention from the researchers. However, the mechanism of this effect is still unclear. This paper reviewed the anti- inflammatory
effect of EPO and its potential mechanism, and previewed the prospect of the clinical application of EPO. |
